Nūn – The Story
According to an ancient Egyptian creation story of the universe, in the beginning there was nothing but the primordial waters, called Nūn. One day, a single lotus flower began to make its ascent towards the sun, carrying within its petals the first god who would go on to create the world.
We don’t see health as something static or life as something unchanging, so we wanted a name that would signify growth and development. We wanted to symbolize the starting point for new beginnings and growth, and we liked that the name embodied this concept so simply and with so much potential.study pharmacy in canada for international students
Nada & Hana – The Founders
Hana is a Dutch-Syrian, born and raised in Egypt. In her words:
Growing up I was never given any medication. We were always given herbal remedies for coughs and colds, and never given antibiotics. Fevers were always regulated naturally through compresses never through antipyretics. Both of my parents are alternative health practitioners and so this approach to health has not been something that I’ve had to get used to, it is something that was considered normal, not alternative. propranolol contre l angoisse
After graduating from university I wanted to do something practical so I spent 3 months in Thailand learning two different types of massage. Upon returning I studied homeopathy. After getting my degree, I did an apprenticeship in the US, working with two homeopaths that specialized in helping children with developmental differences. Now I teach and practice and Cairo, and use both body work and homeopathy to help clients.
Nada made a drastic career change into the field of alternative health about 5 years ago. In her words:
I was a telecommunications engineer for 10 years and after a personal experience that introduced me into the world of complimentary therapy I decided to study Nutritional Therapy and homeopathy. I came to understand that healing is achieved by addressing the underlying factors of a disorder rather than the suppression of its symptoms and I help clients deal with health problems by listening to them, analyzing their diet and lifestyle, designing a personalized program to suit each individual.
I also enjoy running workshops, webinars and giving talks, because I believe in empowering people to take responsibility for their own health and the wellbeing of their families and loved ones.
